Fashion Fusion Collaborative Challenge

Collaborate with peers and your favorite sponsors. Push yourself out of your comfort zone – all levels encouraged. Compete for a chance to win a prize from Brother and walk the runway!

How does it work?

The Fashion Fusion Collaborative Challenge will start as a workshop on Thursday, January 19 and conclude at a fashion show on Sunday, January 22. This event promotes collaboration between manufacturers and contestants.

Find a partner or take the challenge on your own. Collaborate with various sponsors to create a fashionable garment or accessories. The top looks will be featured at a Fashion Show at the After Party on Sunday evening. The event is an opportunity for sponsors and attendees to work together and learn how collaborative learning and sharing can be carried on even after the show. All levels are encouraged to participate. Class is scheduled for 2.5 hours but participants can have up to four hours, if needed. Don’t miss out on this unique experience!

Part 1:  You will have between 2.5 to 4 hours to sew (and embellish if he/she chooses to) a skirt or top by using products from our generous sponsors:

If I don’t have a partner, can I still sign up?

Yes, you can sign up without a partner. We will do our best to assign a partner to you. We will notify you in November if you will participate with a partner or on your own.

How do I sign up?

If interested in being the sewer on your team, sign up for workshop number W105. If interested in the accessories, sign up for W106. Once your registration is confirmed, go to <google link coming soon> to enter the required measurement for pattern sizes and indicate the accessories you are interested in creating. This will assist our sponsors in providing accurate quantities of products. Please refer to McCall’s size chart for guidance with measurements and sizes.
